Auto Fire in Weis Market Parking Lot
March 8, 2010- Just after 1100 hrs., Engine company 15 was alerted to 1075 W. King St., Weis Markets, for an auto on fire in the parking lot.  Engine 15-1 and 15-2 responded and arrived to find one auto off in the parking lot.  Engine 15-1's crew pulled an attack line and quickly put a knock on the fire. Fire was contained to the auto of origin with no extension to any other vehicles.  Crews remained on the scene for short time longer mopping up.  Once units had picked up, Engine 15-1 and 15-2 returned to service.

1st Due House with Heavy Fire from Side C!
March 13, 2010- At 0422 hrs., A box alarm was sounded reporting a house on fire at 1566 Orrstown Rd in Southampton township.  Engine and Rescue Squad 15 responded 1st due on the box.  Units arrived on the scene and reported a single story woodframe house with heavy fire showing from side C.  Crews quickly advanced an attack line through the house and put a knock on the fire.  Additional crews arrived and advanced a backup line while also opening up.  The bulk of the fire was held to two rooms in the B quadrant and the rear porch with some extension into the attic.  The Truck opened the roof, assisted in opening up to check for extension, and provided ventilation.     After an extensive overhaul, the box was scaled back.  Units cleared the scene and returned to service several hours later.

March 13, 2010- WEFR members, family, and friends gather to celebrate the company's achievements over the past year and to hand out the annual awards.  The night's festivities were held at Premier Events in Shippensburg.  Fire Chief Mark Cleck was the MC for the evening program.  This marked a changing in the guard as Fire Chief Randy O'Donnell has moved on to be Borough Fire Chief.
