| Box 15-1 Sounded For The House |
|
January 30, 2009-
At 1727 hrs., Box 15-1 was sounded for a house on fire
at 12744 Mongul Hill Rd in Southampton Twp. Shortly
after dispatch, Deputy Chief 11 arrived on the scene and
reported he had a 2 story, wood frame, single family house
with heavy fire showing through the roof. Engine 15-1
arrived and laid a line back the driveway. Engine
15-1's crew began an aggressive interior attack. Chief
arrived and established Command 15 on Side A of the
building. Command 15 then decided to order the
building be evacuated due to heavy fire conditions and a
limited water supply, due to its rural location. Once
water supply was established, exterior operations were
started. With the bulk of the fire knocked down,
interior operations were once again started along with
extensive overhaul. Company 15 remained on the scene
for several hours before returning to service.
