One Trapped On Neil Rd
February 3, 2009- Shortly after 0700 hrs., Engine Co. 52, Rescue Squad 15, and EMS were dispatched to the 200 block of Neil Rd for an auto accident with one trapped.  The Rescue Squad arrived on the scene and confirmed dispatch with one pickup truck into a tree and one occupant trapped.  The crew quickly stabilized the vehicle and went to work extricating the patient.  The Squad crew removed three doors, a full roof, and rolled the dash.  Once extricated the patient was handed over to EMS for transport.  Rescue Squad 15 returned to service after being released by Command 52.

Flyout From The Boro
February 4, 2009- Rescue Squad 15, along with Co. 52 and EMS, were dispatched for an auto accident on Orange St., in the area of Walnut Bottom Rd.  Units arrived to find one mini-van into a utility pole with no entrapment.  Air medical was requested due to the patient's injuries.  Life Lion was landed at the Kmart Shopping Center.  Squad 15 returned to service a short time later.

Afternoon House Fire In The Boro
February 5, 2009- Just before 1500 hours, a box alarm was transmitted for a house fire at 15 N. Washington St, in the boro of Shippensburg.  Engine Co. 15 and the Rescue Squad responded on the box.  First arriving units found fire on the exterior wall of the house.  Fire was quickly extinguished and the crews opened up to check for further extension.  No further extension was found and the box was quickly scaled back to Engine Co. 52 and Truck 53.  Engine and Squad 15 returned to service.

Rescue Squad On The House Fire
February 10, 2009- At 0855 hrs., Rescue Squad 15 was alerted to North Newton Twp., Cumberland County, for a house fire at #3 Lance Court.  Units arrived on the scene of a 1 story, single family, woodframe house with a working fire.  The Rescue Squad arrived and the crew assisted with extensive overhaul on the 1st floor and attic area.  The Squad returned service.

MVA in Hopewell Twp.
February 18, 2009- Rescue Squad 15, along with Co. 51 and EMS, were dispatched for an auto accident on Greenspring Rd, in the area of Running Pump Rd.  Units arrived to find one vehicle into the embankment with minor injuries.  Command 51 placed Rescue Squad 15 in service.

Garage Fire With Extension
February 24, 2009- At 0800 hrs., Engine Co. 15 was dispatched on the box to 9180 Newburg Rd for a reported garage on fire.  First arriving units from Co. 11 reported they had a well involved garage with possible extension into the house.  Some extension into the attic of the house was found and extinguished.  Co. 15 personnel assisted with overhaul.  Engine 15-1 & 15-2 returned to service around 1030 hrs.

First Due House Fire, Box Alarm 15-3
February 27, 2009- At 0945 hrs., Box 15-3 was sounded for a house fire at 6718 Olde Scotland Rd in Southampton Twp.  Engine 15-1 responded with Wagon Driver Sgrignoli, A/C Sherman, and an "Old School" back step crew consisting of Fireman Gochenauer and Fireman Jones.  Also responding from WEFR were E15-2 with 3, Chief 15, and Deputy Chief 15.  While enroute, Chief 15 was advised caller stated they had smoke coming out of the wall and they were evacuating.  Chief 15 arrived and reported he had a 2 story wood frame farmhouse with nothing showing.  On his way home from the DCFD, Fireman James Byers arrived behind the Chief and made entry to find a room off in the back extending into the kitchen.  Engine 15-1 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4" attack line into the house and quickly knocked down fire in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room.  E15-1's crew then quickly began to ventilate and open up, checking for extension.  Engine Co. 7 was assigned the basement division and Engine Co. 52 was assigned division 2.  Both had light smoke but, no further extension was found.  E15-2's crew checked the attic. Truck 53 through ladders, had roof operations, and assisted with overhaul in the fire rooms. Engine 15-2 were sent to a hydrant in the 7800 block of White Church Rd. for a fill site.  The box was then held to Engine Co. 15, Engine Co. 52, and Truck 53.  After further overhaul and investigation, Engine 15-1 returned to service.
