at his home on Possum Hollow Rd. The Holtry Family wanted
to express their deep appreciation to the WEFR members and
the EMS staff on their outstanding work that day to save his
life. It is always something special to have someone who we

| Reported House Fire in the Boro |
|
September 24, 2008-
Shortly after 1 p.m., the box was struck for a reported
house on fire at 19 N. Earl St. in the Boro of Shippensburg.
Co. 15 responded with two engines and the squad.
Engine 1-52 arrived on the scene and "wagon driver", Jimmy
Byers, reported they had a 3 story, detached house of
ordinary construction with nothing showing on sides A, B, &
D. Engine 15-1 arrived directly behind them and
proceeded to run a back up line. Entry was made via an
open 2nd floor window by Master FF Gochenauer and FF White
due to the fact that no one was home and nothing was showing
at that time. All three floors were searched with
nothing found. In the meantime, the caller came home
and stated she was blow drying her hair in a second floor
bedroom when sparks and smoke came out of an outlet on the
wall. The outlet was checked with nothing found.
All units returned to service shortly thereafter. |
