2010 Keith Hess Memorial Golf Tournament
August 21, 2010- On Saturday, the 8th Annual Keith Hess Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Eagle's Crossing Golf Club in Carlisle, PA.  With sunny skies and warm temperatures, 30 teams took to the course to compete in the four man scramble.  After the round of golf, everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious steak dinner prepared by the staff of Eagle's Crossing.  Congratulations goes out to the team of Jason Strite, Jamie Hammond, Danny Mohn, and Brad Bard for winning the tournament with a score of 60.  We hope that all who attended had a wonderful time.  We would also like to thank all of those who came out to lend a hand in some way.  We also want to especially thank our sponsors and all who donated items for the tournament.  Please take a minute to go to the Golf Tournament homepage and view the list of sponsors and contributors.  Without these individuals, this tournament would not happen.  THANK YOU!!!

August 12, 2010- As strong, powerful thunderstorms were moving through the area, the 44-03 box was dispatched at 0521 hours for a reported apartment building on fire at 2964 Fillmore Dr.  Units from Station 4 arrived to find a 2-story, middle of the row, ordinary construction townhouse with heavy smoke showing from the roof area.  Heavy fire was then found to be showing from side c.  Upon entry, crews found heavy fire in the attic area of 2964 and quickly determined that it was extending to 2966.  Crews from Station 4 and 13 quickly knocked down all visible fire and began to open up.  Upon the arrival of Engine 15-1 and Rescue Squad 15, Command 44 instructed them to report to side c and assist with overhaul operations there and inside of 2966.  Crews remained on the scene performing extensive overhaul operations for several more hours.  It is believed that this fire was a result of a lightning strike from those passing storms.  Command 44 released company 15 units at 0811 hours.  Engine 15-1 and Rescue Squad 15 returned to service.
